His high jump record of 6"1" lasted for 39 years! (he jumped that high even though he did the Western Roll onto sawdust)	He was behind at the first hurdle in the 40 YARD event...and still managed to pull off a win... hence, his nickname "Rabbit"!
As Captain of the Lowell High team, he could be found mowing and grooming the field on weekends!

The Scholarship is overseen and administered by the Greater Lowell Community Foundation, a wonderful non-profit organization set up to benefit the city. It oversees many of the Lowell High scholarship funds. We are very grateful to them for all their help and support.
